Dancing in Delight

Sat Oct 24, 2009, 3:39 AM
Now you’re dancing in delight; all your dreams are fulfilled
Your wish comes true, you reach the sky; climb the highest mountains
If it has lasted a long time; you wonder how it happens
But now you’re dancing in delight and nothing else matters…

Just something for myself...
I'm a bit anxious about tonight, but I know all will be fine. There's another very big event happening in Vienna and it seems a lot of people are going to it, so I'm a bit worried about how that will effect things. Typical for a me, I'm really a workaholic in this capacity and tend to worry a lot before big events.

All will be well, though. No matter what, despite my worries, anxiety, and some absences I really do feel, I'm a fighter and will be at my very best. I'm making the things I've dreamed of become reality, slowly but surely.

Most of my art is aural, not visual, but every now and again I try to take pretty pictures on my travels or attempt to dabble in an art form that peaked in the 15th century.

I am a pro DJ in the Industrial/EBM/ Dark Electronic scene. I hold a Bachelors in Art History and specialize in medieval art and manuscripts (13th c. French High Gothic is a favorite). I am a Musician, Programmer, and Producer. I think conjugating German verbs is kinda fun and I'm not sure why. I like Legos. And sometimes love does feel a little like the end of the world.

But hey, I suppose that's just life.

Oh, I totally do :)
Admittedly, I haven't uploaded much to here in awhile, though I'm do to. I'm hardly an "artist", but I take what I like to think of as "excellent mistakes" while on my travels. There's some photos from the past few months that need to go up on here, though they'll pretty much have a running theme of creepy European churches... and a concentration camp. Because THAT'S uplifting :P

But regardless, I like to stick around to check out other people's art!

I hear ya!

I always crack up a little whenever people hear about this site, they think its only illustrative & photography based. Which is not the case at all. I mean sure those two art themes over power the rest of the community, but let me tell you, I found some rad-tacular sculptures, accessory designers & writers ;D

I believe I'm watching you, lurking like an art creeper & waiting for your next artsy fartsy move :nerd: So you best be updating on photos. I've never traveled to Europe but always manage to bump into people who've been there, I need to stop chompin' on poverty & grab a plane like whuuuut.

Hehe, ok, that means there's at least ONE person who want to see my poor attempts at "Art" see the light of day. That means I'll have to upload some of my photos of the crazy things I found in Germany and Austria over the last few months. Believe it or not, I actually started up a DA account in the first place because I was going to try to learn medieval illumination and document it. I still want to, and I can do some of the basics, but my attempts at photography seemed to come more naturally, even though I'd hardly call myself a photographer by any stretch of the imagination.

Anyway, this is your new task: stomp chompin' on poverty and get on the whole coming to Europe thing! It's worth it, I promise. And you'll also proverbially blow your load over the abundance of really gorgeous art and architecture. I do, at least, but that might be my BA in Art History doing the talking.

Actually, if all goes according to plan, I'll be relocating to Austria at the end of next year to teach English and for a resident DJ job that's way better than anything Philly could offer me. But don't fret, because I'm not going anywhere for quite awhile and when I do, it's not like I wouldn't be back home several times a year. Besides, it also means free crash space in Vienna (assuming my apartment's not a closet) and a friend to hang out with who speaks laughable, yet passable German xD

No problem at all! :) I'd actually been meaning to say hello for awhile, since I didn't get to meet you and your girlfriend when I was in Austria.

And besides, I quite like your drawings. You have a very interesting style.

Aww too bad really.
But maybe nest time.

Thank you!
I always tried to keep my style as unique as possible but trust me, that's a hard piece of work.
